Terms of Use

Last updated: 22 September 2026

These terms apply to your use of datacenterupdate.com and the DataCenterUpdate newsletter (together, the “site”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Informational purpose

DataCenterUpdate (“DCU”) is an independent publication covering enterprise data center infrastructure, including equipment lead times reported by others, regulatory and permitting developments, power and utility matters, and analysis of public records and published market data.

The site is provided for general informational purposes only.

No professional advice

Nothing on the site constitutes engineering, legal, financial, procurement, or other professional advice. Use of the site does not create any professional, advisory, or fiduciary relationship.

DCU does not provide project-specific recommendations, and no content should be treated as a substitute for qualified professional evaluation of your circumstances.

Sources, accuracy, and corrections

DCU attributes published figures to their source, including the date of publication and the scope the source described. Our sourcing and verification practices are described on the Methodology page.

We aim for accuracy but do not warrant that the site is complete, current, or free of error. Where we identify a material error, we correct it and indicate what changed. Suspected errors may be reported to corrections@datacenterupdate.com.

Market information changes

Market and regulatory information published on the site is time-sensitive:

  • Lead times, benchmarks, and market conditions reported by third parties describe conditions as of a stated date and may change without notice.
  • Figures identified as approximate, including values derived from charts or ranges, are estimates and are not quotations, commitments, or offers from any party.
  • A general market figure may not describe a specific project. Equipment class, capacity, voltage, configuration, region, and supplier can each materially affect the result.
  • Regulatory and permitting information changes as comment periods close, rules take effect, and agencies revise published material.

Your responsibility to verify

You are responsible for decisions concerning your own projects, budgets, schedules, contracts, and compliance obligations.

Before relying on any information published on the site, you should verify it against the original source cited, against current information from your suppliers and utility, and with your own qualified advisors as appropriate.

Intellectual property

Except for third-party materials, the original content on this site is owned by the operator of DataCenterUpdate and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may read, print, and share site content for personal or internal business use, and you may quote a reasonable extract with attribution to DataCenterUpdate and, online, a link to the page quoted.

You may not republish substantial portions of the content as your own or on another site, resell the content, systematically copy or harvest the site or its data, or present the content in a way that alters its meaning or implies endorsement. Requests for other uses, including syndication or longer excerpts, may be sent to hello@datacenterupdate.com.

Figures, documents, data, and other materials published by third parties remain the property of their respective owners. DCU reports and cites such materials but does not claim ownership of them and cannot grant permission for their reuse.

The newsletter is provided free of charge. Subscribers may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any issue. We may change the newsletter’s frequency, format, or subject matter, and may suspend or discontinue it. Information collected in connection with a subscription is described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site in violation of applicable law, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its supporting systems, to interfere with its operation or security, or to impose automated load that degrades access for other users.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of DataCenterUpdate disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
